A selection of my favourite cover artworks I’ve created over the years, bringing together music, illustration and visual storytelling to create a world around each project.
Lisa Murdoch - ‘Bad Habits’ Single cover, 2025.
‘Bad Habits’ is my latest cover artwork for Lisa Murdoch, and the fourth I’ve created for her. Our process starts with Lisa sending me the song. I listen, imagine the world it brings to mind, then turn those vibes into an image. She’s always given me lots of creative freedom, which makes each cover exciting to create.
It’s a super fun song, especially for anyone who follows the cycles of the moon and planets. I wanted to reflect its playful energy through colour and bring those astrological themes to life.
BLIND MIC - ‘Hooked’ Single cover, 2023.
Created for Blind Mic’s 2023 single ‘Hooked’ the artwork features a heart at the bottom of the sea with a hook attached, emphasising the song’s feelings of love, longing and attachment. Above, a small sailing boat appears as a subtle Easter egg linking the cover to Blind Mic’s 2022 EP Duende.
I especially enjoyed creating this cover because it pushed me to explore a colour palette I wouldn’t usually choose.
BLIND MIC - ‘Happiness: A Short Story’ EP front cover, 2023.
Created in 2023, the cover for Blind Mic’s Happiness: A Short Story followed shortly after the release of ‘Hooked’, a track featured on the EP. The artwork brings together different stages of a sunflower’s life cycle, reflecting the moments of happiness we experience as we grow and change. I was particularly excited to work on this project because sunflowers are my favourite flowers — to me, they’re happiness in flower form, a big burst of sunshine.
BLIND MIC - ‘Happiness: A Short Story’ EP back cover, 2023.
The back cover continues the sunflower theme, taking us into a field overlooking the sea at sunset. I chose a brighter, more vibrant palette to contrast with the front cover’s beige background and express through colour how sunflowers make me feel — warmth, joy and sunshine. A small sailing boat, connects the artwork to ‘Hooked’, offering a wider view of the world first seen from beneath the sea in the single’s cover.
SILYLA - ‘Pink Lemonade’ Alt Single Cover, 2023.
For Silyla’s single Pink Lemonade, I took the song’s title literally when choosing the colour palette, pairing vibrant pinks and yellows with a dreamlike sunset over the sea. Silyla had a clear vision for two key elements: her own lips, which she photographed for me to incorporate into the illustration and pink lemonade imagined as a love potion. I brought these together in this alternative cover with a heart-shaped bottle, sipped through a straw, surrounded by butterflies, tiny hearts and sparkles.
Lisa Murdoch - ‘Blue Lotus’ Single Cover Art, 2021.
For Lisa Murdoch’s Blue Lotus, I really wanted to play around with scale. The song is about the simple enjoyment of sipping blue lotus tea, embracing your inner goddess energy and connecting to yourself, your intuition and your inner voice. As I listened, I pictured Lisa sitting inside a teacup, surrounded by huge lotus flowers and mushrooms.
I leaned into the petals’ blue-purple tones and used purple as the main colour, playing around with a chrome effect to bring out that dreamy feeling.
